This haiku superficially concerns with the characteristic of a compound eye particular to a drafogonfly, however, it internally gives an impression that even a small dragonfly is a part of the whole world and it is the whole world itself. It is a very interesting image that even the smallest thing in the world is an essential representation of the world.

この句は表面の内容としてただトンボ固有の複眼の特徴に関わっていますが、裏面の内容としては、小さいトンボも全世界の一部はもちろん、全世界そのものであるかのような感じを与え、世の中の一番小さい何でもないものでもその世の中の欠くことのできない表れであるとかいうようなイメージこそ面白いと思います。

This haiku presents an interesting contrast between a turbulent stream making a great roaring sound and an ant riding on a leaf. The potential meaning of the haiku enables us to feel a contrast between an irresistible force of gigantic Nature and a weak animal.

この句はごうごうとなって流れる水と脆弱な葉っぱに乗っているアリとの対照が面白いです。潜在的な意味としては、巨大な自然の不可抗力と生き物の弱さとの対照を実感させられます。

An image of the waves becoming a cradle for the fry is peculiar and interesting. The moon swaying on the wave joins the image, making the scenery very beautiful and fanciful.

波は稚魚のための揺り籠になったかのようなイメージは独創的で面白いです。
それに波に揺れている月も加わって、とても美しい空想的な光景になります。
