Overview

Overview

The JAL Foundation plans and manages “Aviation Day” visits for junior high school students, which is commissioned by the Aviation Day and Aviation Week Committee.  The committee is comprised of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, airlines, and airport-related organizations.  As part of a commemorative program for “Aviation Day” (September 20), the airport visits aim to increase the student’s understanding of aviation and airports, and to broaden the outlook of the next generation.  To this day, a total of 306 students have taken part in the program since its commencement in 1994.  Since 2003, the program has been conducted both in Japan and abroad.
