mañana de primavera
al rozar las flores
suenan un poquito
Spring morning
as my hand grazes the blossoms,
they sound a little

The choice of the word ‘al rozar’ (to touch lightly) is marvelous. I sensed a deep tenderness towards the flowers and plants. On a gentle spring morning, you have captured the faint sound of friction at the moment your fingertips touched the flowers, recognizing it as the lovely ‘voice’ of the plants. The vivid transition in the description from sight to touch and then to sound is superb. As if in response to the author’s gentle approach to the plants, the soft voices emerge from the petals, leaves and stems as they brush against one another. The fact that the author did not miss these sounds suggests they are quite close to the plants. These voices are like the breathing sounds of spring, a season teeming with life. The illustration is also brimming with colorful flowers, each playing its own unique melody. A spring garden is just like a natural orchestra.
