Mesmerized and charmed by the Bulgarian tradition Mummers, Zdravko Harizanov, childlike purely but with the wisdom of an experienced man, manages to capture the most important thing – it is time the evil powers, even the ones hidden in the dead waste, and the illness and the darkness to step back from the kindness and light. The scary masks and the ringing bells, the bear – a symbol of health and power – and the drummer, who sets the rhythm of this ritual with the magical power of the sound help for this.
